St. Ives, Cornwall

Beloved of artists over the years for its exceptional charm and beauty and the amazing quality of light, St. Ives is everything you would expect from a picture postcard Cornish harbour town and then some.

Whitewashed cottages sit cheek by jowl with fine granite houses, climbing up the hill in true Kernow fashion.

There is so much on offer in St. Ives for the holidaymaker, interesting and quaint shops tucked away in the tiny streets with a myriad of eateries and for culture vultures, the Tate Modern and the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden.  Salty seadogs may prefer to take to the water as St. Ives still has a working harbour and beautiful beaches so no wonder it has been awarded the accolade of best family holiday destination by Coast magazine.

Enjoy real bucket and spade days with the family, choose from one of twelve beaches including one, Barnaluz Beach, a small cove which allows dogs all year round.

There are so many lovely cottages and B&Bs on offer in St. Ives. Choose a pretty fisherman’s cottage down by the waterside or enjoy bed and breakfast in a grand granite house with fabulous views over the town and harbour.
